| it looks like particles sticking to a cylinder wall that is wet with oil. While your compression may be good, you have oil control problems judging by the ash deposits on your valves and plugs. I can see that in some areas, your cylinder walls have worn to the point that your cross hatch pattern is gone. This will cause an increase in oil consumption. As you may already know, oil in the combustion chamber reduces the effective octane of your gasoline. At a minimum, you need to have your cylinders honed for new rings, assuming that the cylinder dimensions are still within spec
